Scarcity of Compassion XXX

“[Banning the n-word] is an atrocious idea. It’s almost racist, to me. Why wouldn’t all curse words be banned then.” ~Richard Sherman

Rant:

How long will it simply be ignored, that as long as “nigga” or “nigger” is an accepted term of endearment you will NEVER grow? As far as designations go, BLACK is about as bad as it gets. Just read the definition of this negative connotation:
dirty, soiled, grimy, characterized by the absence of, reflection of or transmission of little or no light, thoroughly sinister or evil, wicked, connected with or invoking the supernatural and especially the devil, very sad, gloomy, or calamitous, marked by the occurrence of disaster, characterized by hostility or angry discontent, sullen, characterized by grim, distorted, or grotesque satire, of or relating to covert operations, indicative of condemnation or discredit… Just a few negative metaphors many PROUDLY accept. Realizing your self-worth is the first step in rEVOLUTION, 180 degrees. It’s a new generation, yet so many are still, willfully, stagnant upon their knees.

The Devil's Excrement

Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.
