truth seekers

I have come to the conclusion that many in this world, or generation rather, are not quite ready for what is so-called “good and pure” yet. Sure they claim to love and care for each other, but so few are really willing to take a real hard, honest look at self. If we can’t face and accept and love self, how can we really ever love another, or our environment?!? I have studied the history of humankind, from the Anunnaki to the present day, and I swear, it seems like every generation, every civilization reached both its pinnacle and demise at the height of what seemed like its most advanced state. And when people like Dr. King, Gandhi, John Lennon, Socrates, Yahshua, Benazir Bhutto, the list goes on and on, who promote positive change and unity and the spreading of truth sequestered from the masses by those in power to be known by all peoples, when the few that do go the route of challenging the system, they are, unfortunately, more often than not, met with violence or suspicion. It is no secret that this world can be a mess, yet despite that there is beauty to be found as well. As for me, I’ve literally spent HALF of my life struggling and the other half recovering. I am flawed and contradictory, and loving and giving. I accept those that are real and I try to help those that I see lost like I was/am. I awake each day with the goal to be better than the day before. But, ultimately, in the end, I know full well that my fate shares that of every other human being that has walked and will walk this prison planet. When you have faced death, and trust me, I have, one of two things happens. You break (and learn nothing) or you are transformed. The first few time, I learned nothing, the last time I decided to become a “different” person. One that would build up, love, challenge, and expose whatever “truth” I come across, no matter what the cost, because at the end of the day, unless something harder that death is thrown my way, I have no fear. I have no qualms about exposing some of the rawest, most controversial topics and information that I have come across, for that is how those that think they have power and control over you is diminished, by exposure. This life is what it is, but I know that if you are really ready for a change, you have to live; you cannot bullshit yourself. When I first experienced true freedom, I was hooked. Although, at first, I really didn’t receive all the many gems and simple truths real freedom offers, but as I take my time and actively apply each lesson and experience, good and bad, that this life presents, in due time I am certain I will gain insight and wisdom, become more alert and aware and, most importantly, become even more appreciative of you and this precious, fleeting gift of life. I say ALL of this to sum it up to: Walk your path and know that it is yours to take hold of and traverse as you please. Just try to enjoy the scenery and take time to appreciate the lessons of the seemingly hard hills and inclines as well as the flat, easy-going terrain (and take the time to appreciate and take care of each other and our only home as well).

 Good luck and be safe…

The Devil's Excrement

Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.
