“Society must fight against this belief in God as it fought against idol worship and other narrow conceptions of religion. In this way man will try to stand on his feet. Being realistic, he will have to throw his faith aside and face all adversaries with courage and valor. That is exactly my state of mind.” -Shaheed Bhagat Singh

How can you still be-LIE-ve in the true lies passed down from master’s hand to the mind of slaves since the dawn of the ages?
How can one be “saved” from death when most faithful die horrendously on the daily?
Many profess to know what their deity says is the right way to go.
Yet are absent when the martyr sacrifices their ONLY life for that which requires what is supposed to be the most precious gift given.
Seems the more seasons change, we get even more ignorant.
For instance, many still follow doctrines demanding their allegiance, wholeheartedly, in the unseen.
So convinced in its relevance that they never once stop to ask why the main protagonist doesn’t have to prove its existence to us so-thought lowly, lesser hue-man beings.
Perhaps we are children of a lesser god indeed?
It’s the things you don’t know and can’t see which makes the choicest weed seem like mere tobacco.
So I’ve long grown sick of being surrounded by that which never lets up or lets go.
If you ain’t know, life ain’t the bitch and sleep ain’t the cousin of death.
The true bitch is the ability to hope in a world filled with so much hopelessness while the real cousin of death is looking back, at the end of your life, at a life filled with nothing but regret.

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then she/he is not omnipotent.
Is God able to prevent evil, but not willing?
Then she/he is malevolent.
Is God both able and willing to prevent evil?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is God neither able nor willing to prevent evil?
Then why call her/him God?”

-Epicurus (341-270 BCE)

The Devil's Excrement

Observations focused on the problems of an underdeveloped country, Venezuela, with some serendipity about the world (orchids, techs, science, investments, politics) at large. A famous Venezuelan, Juan Pablo Perez Alfonzo, referred to oil as the devil's excrement. For countries, easy wealth appears indeed to be the sure path to failure. Venezuela might be a clear example of that.
